...the Altria Theater (a former 1930's Lowes Movie Palace-now converted to a 3,500 seat barn). The Altria Theater was never a movie palace. It was originally built for Shriners of the Acca Temple Shrine and opened in 1927. The Carpenter Theatre however was a Loews Movie Palace and opened in Richmond just a year later.
