I agree! I saw the Wednesday Preview during week 2 and loved the show. This is not another Tootsie or Mrs. Doubtfire.
The script takes a classic and gives it some updates to make it current. The show has an old school structure and the score fits right in. The Dance numbers are incredible. I was in the front row and thought the dancers doing the “home plate slide” were going to end up in the orchestra pit. A classic Casey move. The show moves so fast The casting is perfect. So glad I chose to see this on my visit to New York. Oh- love the train entrance! |
