| Any comments on the lyric change for the Thanksgiving Parade version? Why not "Hey, Mr. Macy" given that that was his name, not Mr. Macy's? Did they really think people wouldn't get the reference otherwise? Had they really wanted to keep "Macy's" they could have done something like: "Hey, look, it's Macy's - here I am!" or "Hey, live from Macy's, here I am!" or even adding a pickup to become "NBC at Macy's - here I am!" Etc. "Hey, Mr. Macy" would have been just as effective and wouldn't have sounded so d-u-m. Just drove me crazy. Or is that crazy's? Hoping everyone had a nice holiday! |
