| I thought we’ve evolved a little bit from the days when Michael Riedel campaigned against Bernadette Peters when she was sick. The welfare of actors is more of a consideration now and audiences are more aware it’s a variable when they go see a show for a star. Didn’t we all just live through a pandemic that isn’t even gone? She was getting sick on the morning of the parade and powered through the performance. Benko was already performing at least one of these missed performances. Don’t rain on her parade. It was a thrilling performance and I hope she recovers soon. |
