| Just my opinion but to risk an absence during a scheduled fully paid house in order to perform at a parade is a poor management decision. She obviously wasn’t well at the start of the parade. | |

| There is no world in which it makes more economic sense for her to do those three performances than sell the show on national TV to millions of eyeballs and generate the kind of mass-market press that her performance elicited. The live broadcast of the parade in general is pretty awful, in that it asks actors to get up early (after doing two shows the day before) in order to dance on asphalt in the cold while wearing skimpy costumes (at least the Funny Girl cast got coats), but it is an incredibly important platform to sell tickets. What would you have them do? |

| I agree with you but (since many here think they ought to micromanage everything) to answer your question I would turn the block into a well ventilated climate controlled sound stage. | |

I have no problem with you starting a thread (it's pretty easy on here) and discussing the lack of merit in this production, if that's how you see it, or anything else. (It may be that you already have, I don't recall, or perhaps you have already hijacked other threads to make this same point. It wouldn't surprise me.) For the record, there are those who loved this production but I am not one of them. Hijacking? Nope, not a lover of that either.” My exit music, please! |

| Ha! I love it. That has sort of happened with the non-NBC broadcast, where some of the shows get to shoot a number on their own stage. But I don’t know if CBS (I think is the broadcaster) gets the same eyeballs as NBC. The Lea Michelle thing is even crazier than usual, because she had to be at the head of the parade extra early, and then get whisked down to Herald Square. |

| I don't believe she got whisked anywhere. The beginning of the song was pre-recorded, I would guess in front of a green screen. She only appeared live in front of Macy's. | |

| The beginning of the song was pre-recorded because she was walking past the balloons at the start of the parade on the Upper West Side, along with some of her cast members. And then they all got (presumably) driven down to Herald Square. The pre-recording was likely happening at 7 or 8 am. It was a long morning of shooting. | |
