| Yes, the songs work beautifully, and the whole show is about writing a play, with lots of very knowing jokes about Shakespeare. A sheer delight about the power and purpose of art to uplift people. | |

| Hmmmm doesn't look like my kind of show but the NY Times liked it, but my friend didn't, but you did, but you thought Beanie would get a Tony nom, I don't know what to think! I really don't want to see a jukebox musical right now but you and Jesse almost make me rethink that. Grrr.... I'd take a free ticket, I guess! Then again, my time is precious. Just thinking out loud! | |

| I cannot stand bio-jukebox musicals - but this one integrates songs into the plot. It’s just a coincidence that you know them working in. Most of them could have been written for that moment. And the show is witty, clever and fast paced. I don’t really see how anyone that likes musical theater could dislike this. My only minor quibbles are that I wish the choreography and physical direction rose to the level of the book (certainly the directors comedic chops are on display). While both don’t get in the way of the proceedings, neither add all that much. | |

| I know someone who loves musical theater that didn’t love & Juliet. Don’t people who love musicals love original scores? Is it better than Mamma Mia? I did not like that on Broadway though I did enjoy the movies. Shoe-horning songs not written for the theater into a plot has never worked for me. | |
