She was quite popular during the 1980s, and "Fame" and "Flashdance" were two very popular dance and music-oriented films of that period. Plus she won an Oscar for writing a Best Song. I'd rather thought more folks might have some memories or stories about her to share.

You’re welcome! I have to admit I may have shed a tear watching and listening to that perfomance after not having seen it for so many years. Not only did she sing the song so movingly but also acted it so well.
