| I so agree. I also wonder what audience members who have no previous acquaintance with the show think during the opening number in productions of the revision. Who the hell are these people singing this song and why they are singing it? What a bad choice getting rid of the graduation at the beginning. I prefer the second version tried during previews of the original production to the version they opened with, but something is needed or that song seems to me unnecessary and sort of pointless up front. |
