| I agree, it is one of the very best theatre documentaries ever, & it for those looking for analysis of the show, Price conveys the essence precisely by focusing on the journeys of the group of cast members, as well as the heartbreak Prince & Sondheim felt when they took responsibility for letting them down....I could watch it over & over, & am glad I did just after Mr. Sondheim passed, always assuming (& in fact that was a main reason I kept my Netflix subscription) that it would remain on there, but what you say makes a lot of sense. It breaks my heart no other arrangements were able to be made ahead of time by the producers, etc for other ways of keeping this viewable elsewhere...maybe they had limited control. I even checked the New York Public Library site, but no dvd seems to have been released. :( |
