| TBC I would not propose not "letting the audience know" but there are plenty of other words or phrases that could accomplish that fear. And I'd say that what this is really about is thinking twice. I have a friend who experienced a tragic house fire. I do not think twice about saying that someone is "on fire" when they make a particularly salient point, but I would never say it to my friend. If you write for a publication with extremely broad readership, sorry but you have to think twice. |
