This was forwarded to me by a friend who asked me what text I wanted generated. I asked for AI to “review Hamilton”. I think you can do a “develop further” command for a longer take.
I didn’t download the app as I’d like to avoid this new technology for as long as I possibly can but the implications are vast. I can only imagine the havoc this will cause with educators. It’s not exactly plagiarism as I did a google search on quotes from the AI generated text and nothing came up. Perhaps with more searching some original sources might be found.
In terms of the review, I find it fascinating how theater review tropes like “must-see” are absorbed into the text. The review also seems to conglomerate a status quo set of values surrounding “Hamilton”. Agreed it would be interesting to try on a show more recently reviewed. As for a more divisive show, I believe AI then goes into a “some believe this, others believe that” as if it is factoring in both positive and negative takes. How it knows what is positive and negative is beyond my understanding. |
