The national tours were having amazing sales ($40 orch for ok! And prom and $70 for moulinR.) so I went. The latest shows Beetlejuice and frozen don’t so I’m not going.
Unfortunately streaming has really dried up as covid ended. I’ve seen only about a dozen shows streaming this year. I was hoping it would have caught on but I guess there isn’t enough people streaming to cover the costs and possible loss of sales in theater.
But I do see lots of movies because of AMC A-list for $24 a month to see up to 12 movies. I even saw two (fablemans and hugh jackman’s the son) in nyc on my trip last week since it is nation wide. I tend to enjoy movie dramas more than plays. I guess more that a mediocre film I’ll enjoy in a recliner seat instead of $100 for a play (I saw Leopoldstadt and downstate last week) in a cramped seat and as Nicole Kidman tells me before every movie “where stories feel perfect and powerful..because they are” |
