| My sister recently said how she loved the lyric "Wishes come true, not free" in Into the Woods, for its concision. Made me think, Sondheim never wastes a word. What's the moment for you when he says the most in the fewest words? (And, alternatively, can you find a moment when he used an unnecessary word?) "But alone / is alone / not alive" is pretty damn good. |
