| Funny you should write this. Last night, I saw Leopoldstadt, left the theater at 9:20 and got the F train at Rockefeller Center at 9:35. I didn’t get to Forest Hills until 10:20 because the train crawled through the tunnel due, I suppose, to track work. I should have been there by 10:00, easily. And on weekends, the rerouting is difficult to plan around even with the MTA apps. Railroad is a good alternative, but then one has to walk from down a very seedy 7th Ave from the theater district to Penn Station. And express buses are sometimes at a virtual standstill on 6th Ave what with all the traffic. There is just no easy way to get from Queens to Manhattan, and, yes, that certainly affects my theater going frequency. |
