| One thing that may be unprecedented is that there are 3 Pulitzer winners from prior seasons that are all eligible for the Tony for Best Play: Cost of Living, Between Riverside and Crazy, and Fat Ham. It's possible that whatever wins the next Pulitzer will also be eligible for Best Play, which would make 4. Even if there are only 3 Pulitzer winners in the mix, it's possible that one of them would not be nominated for Best Play, most likely Between Riverside and Crazy if that were to be the case. I think that would be the first time in many decades that a Pulitzer-winning play that was eligible for the Tony for Best Play or Musical was not nominated. |
