If you are actually Stephen Adly Guirgis, which I highly doubt, but if you are... I'm sure you can handle that I don't particularly take to the plays of yours that I've seen and read, and that I have still acknowledged that this doesn't mean they aren't good. There are lots of plays and musicals that excite me but that most other people seem to dismiss, this is always gonna be true... I haven't read or seen all your plays. And one of my favorites it's not even one of the more known ones, The Little Flower of East Orange. I think you're an excellent writer and mind, but that doesn't change that your plays are not among this one man's personal favorites in all of playwriting.
Enjoy your Pulitzer and massive success, somehow I'm sure you'll get over the epic blow to your confidence from this very short thread of posts on a public theater chat forum ... and I hope you enjoy your cut of the money from when I buy a ticket to see Between Riverside and Crazy. |
