Lots of posts here and elsewhere about the performances (especially seemingly universal raves for Groff.)
Any word on how the score sounds? Is it a full orchestra or small band (as seems to be the default for most Sondheim revivals)?
My strong reservations about Groban aside, looking forward to hearing the Sweeney score with a full orchestra next year! And, of course, the musicianship of the Woods revival was exquisite. |
