| I posted about the orchestra the other day. It's the 9-piece arrangement that has been used with this Maria Friedman production throughout - it has not been further reduced. (But, it is 3 musicians shy of the 12-piece arrangement done for the 1994 revision, which is the version still available for rental). Tunick has updated some of his work (some swing-ier licks in "Now You Know," for instance), and the distinctive sound of the synth part (prominent in "Franklin Shepard, Inc, back from the original 1981 version) is missing (that's now played on piano). |
