Barrowman also did his terrific cabaret act at Arci's Place in NYC. And there was talk of him doing ''Chicago'' on Broadway, but it never happened.

He also was dynamic in ''Company'' at the Kennedy Center in D.C. Sondheim told him: ''You're the first person to show me who Bobby truly was.''
