With a show like this, I think you also capitalize something close to the show's nut to get you a month post-opening. Maybe they did that here but maybe they then also realized that they were going to have to build an audience at the worst possible time. (And as rehearsed, they also needed an open-eyed marketing plan that they obviously never had.) A long shot regardless, but I do not think they had in place the infrastructure to dismantle the deck that was stacked against them from the get go. To me this is a failure of that infrastructure in the first instance.
