Better you calling me on the transgender issue than the Voldemort agitator, who I don't even read their posts anymore if I can help it. I agree that the operation isn't used in whatever percentage of how many folks decide to live as a different gender, though it seems that the word transvestite doesn't seem to be used as much nowadays outside of "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Not sure if it offends (and I don't intend to, mind you), but different people keep changing what is offensive to them nowadays. Osgood didn't seem to be an older man in this, though he's clearly been around the block a few times and experienced. He registered, to me anyway, about the same age as Daphne and Geraldine.

The problem with the over-amplification in this show especially is that Sugar, who even if they are trying to get away as much as possible from the Marilyn Monroe original, is still supposed to be sensitive and has a history of being hurt by men. Power ballads, even when sung by as fine a singer as Adrianna Hicks, when even louder and stronger with the over-amplification, don't really convey that; quite to the contrary. They sound angry and/or powerful, which might be fine, maybe partly by design with this writing team, but unfortunately, the numbers also sound the same.
