Commercial off-Broadway has been possibly the most lamentable loss in NYC theater. Just think of the different fates 'Kimberly Akimbo', 'K-Pop' and 'Ain't No Mo'' could have had with a commercial off-Broadway run. Many other shows as well – I just named those 3 because they're current.
