I tend to like sitting in the orchestra, when possible, but would certainly prefer front mezzanine if I were to end up in a no or very low-raked orchestra section in which one tall person in the seat in front of me could impede my view of the stage. That happened to me at the current Into the Woods revival. I was in what seemed to be a plumb seat, center orchestra about half way back, but I constantly had to move my head to see much of the action on stage due to a taller gentleman being seated in front of me.
I'm planning a NY trip for late winter/early Spring and will probably be buying at least some of my tickets in advance. So, per the title, which Broadway, Off-Broadway and/or non-profit houses in NY are known for having no or very low raked orchestra sections in which one's view could be blocked by a tall person in front of you? |
