| Its a live stream/HD stream into a movie theatre of an event which later be shown free on PBS. The Met has a following that has no relationship to the film industry. People in - but mostly outside - of New York. And the showing times are extremely limited - two to four screenings total per theatre. At a $27 ticket price (in NYC). Hard to compare in real terms to a film showing 6 times a day for 6 weeks or so, likely in multiple theaters in the same town/city. Its great for the Met - but its not a film. |
