What is most bizarre about this interview is that it is being conducted by the Hollywood Reporter and that Cooper gave HR an interview. The Hollywood Reporter did not even bother to review "Ain't No Mo'" when it transferred to Broadway, and when it opened at the Public back in 2019, HR gave the play a mixed-to-upbeat review. It was not the kind of review that would sell a single ticket. And then to ignor the show when it went to Broadway? No wonder diverse audiences are not being built.
