I guess I don’t feel that perry is really disparaged in the show. Usher is poking fun at Medea’s characters which are a parody of black people already. And usher doesn’t want to write for perry since he wants to portray is own life.

Maybe I missed it but I don’t think usher is really saying he hates being black but more that he wished he had the freedoms that white girls have and grappling with his own sexuality and body dysmorphic disorder—that a lot of us deal with regardless of race and gender.

There was no need for perry to disparage a strange loop when supporting ain’t no more. It seems he had an agenda of his own.
