I saw Radcliffe in ''Equus,'' ''How to Succeed'' and ''The Cripple of Inishmaan,'' and he got Drama Desk nominations for all three.
But he hasn't had any luck with Tony nominators. He blew me away in ''How to Succeed,'' especially considering this was his first-ever musical. And he really kept up with the professional dancers in Rob Ashford's athletic staging of ''The Brotherhood of Man.'' I've seen that number so many times.
For me, Radcliffe should've won the Tony that season. And I wish there were a pro-shot of the entire show.
If ''Merrily We Roll Along'' opens on Broadway, I hope he'll have another shot at the Tony, preferably in the Featured Actor category. |
