Some day the Met will realise that Barbiere was a fluke and stop hiring him, no matter how good his work next door.
I think it was Comte Ory that led me to the conclusion that he doesn't understand or even like opera.
(I've just missed this Rigoletto a second time, so I can't comment until it comes back again.) |
