I've posted in two other threads. The upstairs of the Shubert just isn't selling. Not Christmas - New Year's week, not into January. They are filling 2/3 of the orchestra, and both upper levels remain startlingly undersold. They could close the balcony easily* as Girl From the North Country opted to do (and the Side Show revival at the St. James). No one is buying those balcony seats, which is why they placed the TDF audience there this past week; where I landed (row B, on 48 hours notice).

Sorry if I missed it, but what's the actual known break even?

*Or rather than issue the "rush" $65 seats, just make the balcony affordable until the show is a hit. I mean, seriously affordable: $60/$50 for every performance.
