| The same could be said for "Phantom of the Opera" which, while giving plenty of employment, perhaps have kept folks who might fit another kind of show from getting employment (with the possibility of many, many one- or two-year run musicals over the years playing the Majestic). | |

| I am not happy the show is closing. I liked it very much, so did my friends. And the cast is excellent. The show was selling out about 3/4 of the theater so this isn’t a box office disaster like KPOP or some of the plays currently running. I won’t be surprised if Almost Famous does well on tour and possibly in Australia which may happen because of one of the producers. I also wonder if another director will be chosen to give the show a sharper edge and perhaps add a killer rock number in act one. I do wonder what will happen to Kimberly Akimbo and Some Like It Hot as A Beautiful Noise and &Juliet are stealing their thunder. |
