You may well be right. I certainly can not think of another musical number in a film that is just a duet for two people giving Oscar winning performances. Frankly, other than Cabaret and West Side Story there aren't a lot of film musicals in which two actors won Oscars for their performances.
However, in the '44 film Going My Way when Bing Crosby sings "Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral (That's an Irish Lullaby)" only he and Barry Fitzgerald are in the scene. Crosby sings the song and Fitzgerald has dialogue commenting on it. Both actors won Oscars for the film. |
