| The performance was cancelled around 7:20pm. An announcement around 7:05 asked the audience to be patient for 15 minutes. When I saw the show last Thursday night, the lead and Thought #6 were out. |

| This is a terrible thing to do to play goers. With the Covid problem anyone buying a ticket should be required to give their cell phone number so that they can be apprised of the fact if the show is not going to be held. As far as this show goes, they have lost a lot of business because the lead actor after winning a Tony award has seemed to disappear and other actors are not reliable obviously. The golden age of Broadway is definitely over. | |

| Broadway’s stubborn compliance with PCR testing as if it’s an absolute correlative with health and danger is killing Broadway. Now that Fauci has slunk away, people ought to re-imagine what is real, scientific, and workable, before it’s too late. | |

| How is Fauci involved in Bway's policies? Oh, he's not but let's blame him anyway. |

| "Broadway’s stubborn compliance with PCR testing as if it’s an absolute correlative with health and danger is killing Broadway. Now that Fauci has slunk away, people ought to re-imagine what is real, scientific, and workable, before it’s too late." Please enlighten me as to what real, scientific, workable solution you have. I served on a grand jury last year, and even with daily temp checks and questions and social distancing, we still had a juror test positive and they had do a deep clean of the courtroom before they would allow us back in. |

| OK. Let's put you at the front of that line of people and then when you are done "imagining" maybe we can have a meaningful discussion. PS Fauci did not slink away. He retired with the gratitude of a nation and a world. |

| Frankly, I didn't even know Spivey was still in ''A Strange Loop.'' He's had a history of missing a number of shows. But he got some good news lately. He's been cast as Damien in Tina Fey's upcoming movie musical of ''Mean Girls.'' Googling also brought up this Ebony article (from May 2022) that touches on ''A Strange Loop'' and Tyler Perry. |

| And it's worth noting: this show introduced a stellar alternative, who delivers a comparable performance: Kyle Ramar Freeman. I saw the gifted Freeman, as did a many friends. Not a person voiced regret at missing the star. Why, I've never read a single such post on a theater board! I've read a few comments that parsed and praised aspects of Freeman's work that even give him a slight edge. But they're not in competition. And rather than turn into a negative anecdote about one actor's attendance, I would hope that this show might be a model for shared roles. I can't recall another instance in which two people were introduced simultaneously in a demanding role with so much good will expressed toward both. The glass is decidedly half full here. |

| The golden age of Broadway is definitely over. Oh, I've been hearing that pronouncement all my life. It still hasn't come true. I'm not aware that Jacquel Spivey has disappeared, or has even "seemed" to. Yes, he has had some issues, but that has nothing to do with "disappearing." I also don't know what makes you say that "other actors are not reliable obviously." Maybe it would be a better show for you if they did it in reverse order? :-) |
