| I’m not sure this matters, but I am curious… Felix’ suicide: was the actor positioned to make the effect all too real or was a dummy used with a mask of the actor’s face? When the actor came out for the curtain call there were no signs of the trauma. I thought the play was so well written and the acting was extraordinary to a person. My daughter and I saw it together. She understood the odor references to forecast the suicide. I did not. We were on the front row house right. It stunned me. And re early posted discussion here, I didn’t find either Fred or Andy to be truthful or mistaken. I’m not sure what actually happened is the point or even important. |

| If it was a dummy, they REALLY fooled me, but I'm pretty sure it was the actual actor in a harness. What do you mean when you say there was no sign of the trauma? One would hope/assume that's the case for any actor. | |

| I've played a character who hanged himself and it was really me as it happened live onstage. I had a harness under my costume. I walked up to the top of a ladder. I put the nose around my neck and clicked a hook onto the harness at the same time. The technical director then lifted me up very very slightly and once I felt I was no longer being held by the ladder under me, I kicked over the ladder and dropped my head. We rehearsed it before every show. The harness etc was provided by Flying by Foy which does all productions of Peter Pan. During pre-show rehearsal, I would sometimes swing around and sing "I'm Flying." Good times. | |

| Well, I suppose that’s true. I did struggle how to say it. On stage in Act 2 (!) Felix’ face and neck were flushed and red. VERY real. I guess he just washed off the very accurate makeup before the curtain call. I assumed it was the actor when I saw it. It was only after that I began to wonder… Thanks. | |
