| I've played a character who hanged himself and it was really me as it happened live onstage. I had a harness under my costume. I walked up to the top of a ladder. I put the nose around my neck and clicked a hook onto the harness at the same time. The technical director then lifted me up very very slightly and once I felt I was no longer being held by the ladder under me, I kicked over the ladder and dropped my head. We rehearsed it before every show. The harness etc was provided by Flying by Foy which does all productions of Peter Pan. During pre-show rehearsal, I would sometimes swing around and sing "I'm Flying." Good times. |
