It was released in us on Dec 9. None of the five musical or comedy are musicals. Elvis didn’t make it either and glass onion knives out does not deserve a nomination. I doubt I’d put banshees or triangle of sadness in comedy category (although the h&m vs Gucci model look still makes me laugh).
As for theaters, AMC does not show movies that will be streamed in one or two weeks. I was surprised glass onion knives out was at AMC so maybe they are relaxing that prohibition. But that might be why Matilda was only at art houses in nyc and la to qualify for awards. |
