The musical about a young man going back to beruit from Boston (around 1900) to fall in love with a woman already spoken for. They are Christian (which I just assumed it would be a Muslim story). It’s a pleasant score (not very middle eastern) like a Paul Gordon musical. No great songs but just flows along to tell the story. Nice production somewhere in England. It’s a mild recommendation since there’s little to stream now. It has performances until Sunday.
It’s 15 pounds. I had problems getting it to work—I had to click through my email receipt for the proper page to load. And it started 90 minutes before curtain—no count down clock. So it showed up as starting at 10am local but actual started at 11:30. Only after I did an internet search for what time is GMT in pacific time did I figure that out. |
