| I STILL don't understand why Frank Rich didn't like it. I would guess having made his bones by understanding Follies when a mere undergrad, he felt obliged to dislike anything from the cro-magnon era of musicals. By God, it is before Oklahoma!!!!!! Cut Slaughter... and the show stops making sense. On Your Toes was a most worthy herald of what was to come. It was an utter joy. |
