| I was a 16-year-old, gay theater nerd when I saw this show. The lush score and brilliant choreography/dancing BLEW ME AWAY. Now, 39 years later I still remember the thrill of seeing Slaughter on Tenth Avenue. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that magical night. I went with my beloved aunt and uncle who took me to dinner afterwards at an Italian restaurant in the East Village called John’s (?) that featured a large candle with melting wax all around it. It was such a special night. Thank you for reminding me. |
