On one hand, having an African-American Mame would be very weird in light of the Peckerwood scene and the title song. On the other hand, could that kind of a daring choice actually pay off?
Not Jennifer Holliday, though. Can't see it at all.
But really, IMO Mame is just not in any way worth reviving. Honestly. But, I know it's one of the cornerstones of ATC that the show somehow needs a revival. :-) |
