Godfrey Cambridge in the 1970 film Watermelon Man wore white makeup in some scenes and played a Caucasian male character.
On 1/20/2018 I saw the play Insurrection: Holding History in which (in some scenes) black actors portrayed white characters by wearing white masks on their faces. The play was staged at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago. |
