Sort of had the same reaction - though the character of Pops was unlikable and a lot of the plot unbelievable. Fun to act I'll bet but never quite hangs together as a story. They keep bringing it back and people keep raving about it - thought it was just me. But i was baffled by it and left with a sour taste in my mouth.
