| Ben Platt was only about 3 years older when the movie was filmed than at his last Broadway performance. I think the movie made two major mistakes to deal with his age: 1) they tried making him look younger, which only succeeded in drawing attention to the issue; and 2) they should have cast his classmates to look his age or older. Kaitlyn Dever, Colton Ryan, Nik Dodani and Amandla Stenberg are all younger than Platt, and they all look younger than Platt on film. |
