There is some excellent music in the score, along with some surprisingly rather clunky lyrics. I very much doubt Encores! would even seriously consider doing it, but a nice recording in better sound than the original, and with a better singer as Coco, might raise the score in people's estimation. I mean, Hepburn is striking, but "Always Mademoiselle" in particular has a melody that profits when it is sung by someone with some sort of singing voice.

Even a new CD issue that would include all the music that was on the two issues of the cast recording on LP would be welcome.

Oh, and some of that dance music, at least when heard complete, is delightful.

Of course, there will probably never be another recording unless in, say, 50 or 100 years Previn becomes regarded as a truly major composer. Which is probably not going to happen. A good minor composer is what he will probably always be considered.
