I clearly stated I haven’t seen the play. The movie is really a long monologue of Pi dealing with the animals on the raft. Maybe the animals talked to him—I don’t recall. But there weren’t any other humans after the ship sank.
As for puppets, I watched the pbs video and it looks a lot like the horse puppets and even lion king. Maybe they are totally different but based on the video, I don’t see much difference.
And the movie had very little plot. Just him surviving on the raft with the animals. The play is probably based on the book so maybe there is more plot there.
But as someone else posted, they didn’t like the movie but liked the play. That’s useful I formation. Maybe if you stated why the puppets are so different from my reference point of warhorse, the. It would be useful. You just stating fake news is not. |
