I'm a bit surprised that the show is touring first, then coming to Broadway. I would think that the tour would cannibalize some of the audience. Have there been recent examples of this? (I would not include shows like Motown or the Hair revival, which were on Broadway first then went on tour, with the return Broadway engagement essentially being an extension of the tour.)
