Well, I would never defend the Oscars on artistic grounds. It's nice when the best stuff does win, or at least stuff that might reasonably be regarded as best, but clearly that has often not happened. I remember having an argument about this with a teacher back in high school.
It is just a problem a problem with awards, at least awards in the arts. |
