In San Diego, the Craig Noel Awards, given by the members of the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle, have instituted non-gendered acting categories with the top two vote getters in each category winning awards.
This is the first year for this system, so we’ll see how the local theatre community responds. The awards ceremony will take place on February 27.
