For me, it was last Monday and twice on Thursday.
At various times through history, it has been fashionable or exotic to be perceived as sexually avant garde. And every aspect of sexuality at one point or another has been attacked as a bandwagon--including heterosexuality and procreation ("My friends got their ladies. They're all having babies.") Google "cool to be gay" and you get just a taste of some queer history.
This has little to nothing to do with the dignity of people and their gender / sexual identities, which was the point of the OP of this sub-thread. |
