| I just rewatched this film for the first time since its release. Were any other songs written for it and not used, and is there any potential for it as a stage show? It would have to be a lot smaller, obviously, as the film has an enormous cast, but watching it made me wonder. The songs never really drive the narrative, but they are sharp and a good librettist might be able to do something about that. Had it ever been discussed back in the day? |
