Wow! The OBC LP of Plain and Fancy was one of the first Broadway cast albums my mom bought me right after the one of Peter Pan. The cast had performed a number on The Ed Sullivan Show -- I think it was "City Mouse, Country Mouse", but I may be mistaken. I also remember Dean Martin singing "Young and Foolish" on some variety show or possibly over the radio. That was enough to make it a must-have record for me.

BTW, Shirl Conway (years before she would run Alden General Hospital on CBS' The Nurses) knocks "It's a Helluva Way to Run a Love Affair" out of the park and, of course, Barbara Cook gets to sing 4 songs on it also. Who could ask for anything more?

Enjoy!
